Sam Weaver

A second-generation attorney raised in Gainesville, Georgia, Sam is a proud Double Dawg. He earned his B.A. from the University of Georgia in 2012 and his Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2017, graduating summa cum laude and as a member of the Order of the Coif. Between college and law school, Sam lived in Trujillo, Peru, where he taught Spanish and immersed himself in a Spanish-speaking community — experience that continues to shape his work with clients today.
Sam began his career at Weathington McGrew, a boutique trial defense firm known for handling high-stakes personal injury cases, including premises liability, medical malpractice, trucking, and rideshare matters. He worked alongside Gabe Banks there before co-founding Banks Weaver in 2021. Since then, Sam has served as lead counsel on cases resulting in multiple seven-figure recoveries and has tried nine cases to verdict, including wrongful death and murder cases.
Sam represents individuals who have suffered serious injuries resulting from motor vehicle collisions, trucking accidents, and dangerous premises. A fluent Spanish speaker, he frequently serves Spanish-speaking clients and is deeply committed to ensuring they feel heard, understood, and supported throughout their case. Informed by his experience defending large corporations in complex personal injury litigation, Sam brings both compassion and trial-ready strategy to his advocacy.
Outside of work, Sam is a proud husband and father who enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, fishing, hunting, and playing pickup basketball. He is an active volunteer with Passion Cumberland and a supporter of Triumph Over Tragedy, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and Mission Hope.
