Gabe Banks

Gabe brings deep litigation and trial experience to Banks Weaver, having tried more than 50 cases to verdict, including felony, murder, and multi-million-dollar personal injury matters. Before co-founding the firm, he spent five years at a premier Atlanta defense firm representing large companies in negligent security cases and defending hospitals and physicians in medical malpractice litigation.
Earlier in his career, Gabe served nearly a decade as a Deputy District Attorney for Fulton County, supervising the Gangs and Drug Unit and the Asset Forfeiture Division, and later worked as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Middle District of Tennessee and the Northern District of Georgia, prosecuting large-scale drug trafficking organizations with ties to the Mexican Cartel through wiretap investigations. He began his legal career clerking for the Honorable William J. Haynes, Jr., United States District Court Judge for the Middle District of Tennessee.
Today, Gabe focuses on representing individuals seriously injured due to the negligence of others, with particular emphasis on negligent security cases. He approaches each matter with care, clarity, and deep respect for the trust his clients place in him, while advocating forcefully on their behalf.
Gabe earned a Bachelor of Science with a correlated study in Race Relations from Vanderbilt University, where he played football on a full athletic scholarship. He later completed Vanderbilt’s Joint Law and Divinity Program, earning both his J.D. and M.Div., and remains committed to mentoring at-risk youth through a program he co-leads at his church.
